چکیده
Geological structures such as faults play a critical role in the flow of fluids reservoir by affecting its permeability. This study explores Chaman Fault distribution hydrological division, groundwater separation aquifer systems Khojak and basins. The is left-lateral strike-slip transform plate boundary located at border city Chaman, District Killa Abdullah, Balochistan. fault plays an important division subsurface, accommodating structural compartment system. studies showed that movement made impervious along line. assertion may also be confirmed drastic change water table across fault. Sharp changes Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) were observed during study. Karazes which are indigenous method irrigation present eastern foothills mountains called basin. Here shallow ≈ 6 meters comparison to western side fault, where drops ≈274 towards valley average TDS level on line 773 mg/L 1361 side. Therefore, acting barrier feeding Karezes for centuries.

متن کاملInvestigating future changes in groundwater quantity and quality in the Khash alluvial aquifer through numerical groundwater flow and solute transport modeling
The Khash alluvial aquifer, in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, supplies the water needed for agriculture, drinking, and industry in the Khash area. In order to predict the future status of groundwater level and water quality, and to find aquifer management solutions, groundwater flow and solute transport models were developed using MODFLOW and MT3DMS. GMS 10.3 was used to develop the model. Ca...

متن کاملFactors Affecting Phosphorous in Groundwater in an Alluvial Valley Aquifer: Implications for Best Management Practices
Many streams in the US are impaired because of high Soluble Reactive Phosphorous (SRP) contributions from agriculture. However, the drivers of ecological processes that lead to SRP loss in baseflow from groundwater are not sufficiently understood to design effective Best Management Practices (BMPs). In this paper, we examine how soil temperature and water table depth influence the SRP concentra...
